Below are step by step instructions for the proper execution of the Kettlebell Overhead Lunge exercise. Like all weightlifting exercises, the Kettlebell Overhead Lunge routine should be executed with care and attention to proper form. The muscle groups most affected by this exercise will be the lower back, shoulders, abdominals, calves, gluteus maximus and hamstrings. The Kettlebell Overhead Lunge

  1. Get into a lunge position, using your glutes and hips to lower your torso, with both knees bent at a 90? angle.
  2. As you are assuming that position, raise the kettlebell straight up in the direction of the ceiling. Make sure that you have a straight spine and stable legs.
  3. Move back to a standing position and bring the kettlebell back to chest level.
  4. Perform these moves on both sides, with 12 to 15 repetitions each time.
